An important notification has been announced by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Government of UK, stating that the required UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking deadline has been extended by an additional two years i.e., till 31st Dec 2024.
For further two years, the government will continue to recognize the CE marking on the product in the United Kingdom, enabling businesses to utilize either UKCA or CE Marking.
Applicant can continue to use the CE marking on the GB market until 31 December 2024. however, manufactured products placed on the GB market from 11pm on 31 December 2024 shall bear UKCA marking.
