Ministry of Power dated 19th Sep 22 had approved the Voluntary Implementation of QR code on 28 notified equipment/appliances covered under S & L program of BEE. The said implementation is currently not applicable to Direct Cool Refrigerator & Frost-Free Refrigerator. The intention of implementing the QR is to authenticate the valid details of model approved by BEE.
With effect from 1st July 22, BEE has started releasing the letters with QR code incorporated in it in order to validate the data from BEE website. As per the released notification by BEE, Voluntary
implementation of QR code has come into the effect from 14th Dec 22 and applicant shall past the QR code below the star label being pasted on appliance/equipment.
